Landmarks mode · iPhone
Pindrop names a famous landmark. You place it on the map. Five rounds test whether you know where monuments, museums, and natural wonders actually belong.
SAMPLE ROUND
Use the country clue, search your mental map, and place the Swedish landmark before the timer reaches zero.
Not a photo-identification quiz
Many landmark quizzes show a picture and ask what it is. Pindrop reverses the challenge. The name is given; your job is to locate it on a world or country map.
This tests a deeper connection between culture and geography. Recognising the Eiffel Tower is one skill. Knowing exactly where Paris sits in France is another.
Start with a focused collection of well-known monuments, wonders, and natural landmarks.
Pindrop Pro adds focused landmark collections for Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
After every round
The result map shows your guess, the correct location, and the distance between them. For landmarks with learning material, you can open a place view with context, an image, and source attribution.
That makes a missed pin useful. You leave the round with a clearer map position and a little more knowledge about the place itself.
Image rights matter: Pindrop shows per-image attribution for Wikimedia Commons images and credits its third-party geographic datasets in the app.
